My company has chosen to do a few good things for their employees in the last month.

1) They restored my hours in the middle of October, so I am back to working 40 hours a week.

2) They've decided to give us two more holidays in 2010 (MLK day and President's day). This is in addition to (as opposed to instead of) the two floating holidays they give us.

3) They're reinstating the education reimbursement and computer loan programs.

So... I'm getting a new computer, baby!

I just need to figure out which one. My company will loan up to 2500 dollars, interest free, to be paid back within one year, but I definitely don't want to borrow that much.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I'm planning being either the seal with the yellow bow tie, or Lucile 2, from Arrested Development, for Halloween. Paul is planning on going as Buster Bluth.

I'll post pictures if it works out.

I hope you all are well.

My company is reorganizing the sales floor again. I have my interview for my new place in said organization this afternoon. I'm trying to stay calm, but I am quite nervous about it.

Update: It went pretty well, I think. I'll find out for sure next week. *Fingers crossed*

Fortunately that didn't happen last night. In fact I had a very nice night. Paul and I celebrated 10 months of being together by going out to dinner and a movie. We ate out at California Pizza Kitchen (where we ate on our second date) and went and saw Funny People. I really liked the movie. It was funny, and insightful. I love Seth Rogen, and I really like Adam Sandler in his more serious roles.

I'm not afraid to admit that I got misty eyed several times throughout the movie.

In other news, I'm taking today off, unpaid. Having my day off be on a Tuesday wasn't my first choice, but there is a very important meeting I need to attend tomorrow, and one of the women in mt back up triangle will be out for the next 2 1/2 weeks. The other took yesterday off so that left only today for little ole' me.

I'm still in the process of moving (which is what I'll be doing with the rest of today). It's a little bit easier when you don't have to worry about unpacking things on the other side. But it also requires a lot more thought about what will come with me to my new home and what will go into storage.

Other things on the to do list: Call the cable guy, because the DVR he installed yesterday never did start working. and hopefully go to home depot tonight to check out possible closet enhancements.

Well that's about it chick-a-dees.

I'll catch you all later,
CindaEdna
